Homeland Security is a broad concept, which also covers how to protect yourself and your company in cyber world. It plays a significant role in countering threats from cyber attacks. The growing number of serious attacks on essential cyber networks is one of the most serious economic and national security threats our nation faces.

Cyber criminals can target any computer system if it is vulnerable. An important way to protect yourself and others from cyber security incidents is to watch for them and report any that you find. Here are some preventative strategies:

  • Set secure passwords and change them frequently. Do not share your passwords to anyone. Make sure you use a combination of letters and numbers not related to anything personal that can be obtain through social media research. Do not give out personal information to unknown person.
  • Keep your operating system, browser, and other critical software optimized by installing updates. Most people still ignore updates that popup on their computer systems because they are afraid the updates are viruses. Those updates are there for a reason. Please install them.
  • Limit the privacy settings for your company. Your employees should have limited accessed to the Internet and no download capability for things directly derived from the Internet or unknown email contacts.
  • Educate workers about computer security and promote security awareness and security protocols
  • Pay close attention to website URLs and be suspicious of unknown links or requests sent through email or text message.
  • Most people use passwords that are based on personal information and are easy to remember. However, that also makes it easier for an attacker to guess or "crack" them.

So, be sure never repeat these mistakes next time and if you suspect fraud or criminal behavior? Report it! Remember to stay safe in cyber world.

| Twyla Garrett | 15 Paths to Succeed in Business | Twyla Garrett Baltimore

You may not required to have all Seven of these Tricks to succeed in business. But be willing to learn them and hire someone who can cover your butt if you want to get out of the rat race or be your own boss someday.

Never underestimate how important it is to be able to business of sell. It is at the no.1 of the list on purpose. Even if you never have to sell to customer, you will have to sell your plans to investors, sell your firm vision to prospective workers, and sell consumers and customers on your brand. Selling is critical to your success, so if you have an hatred to it, you did better get over that fast.

Discipline is not just about working better, but you do have to do that. Discipline is also about control your entrepreneurial tendencies. Many natural born entrepreneurs are blessed with a mind that is an plan-generating device. The good news is that some of those plans are gold mines. The bad news is that if you regularly pursue new plans, old plans never get developed to fruition. And I have watched one multimillionaire in particular run his business into bankruptcy because every month he was working on something new.

Just leaving the rat race is a hold risk in an of itself. No wonder so few peeps do it. And if you have a spouse and significant other, realize that they are risking with you—whether they like it and not. Everyone has a required for some level of certainty, so if you can not find it in your business, plan on finding it elsewhere maybe for several month at a time.

Note that this is not called “Making Relations”—important, yes, but not the same thing. Rapport generate means building respect, a reputation, & hopefully key alliances along the way. Twyla Garrett does not seem to be the kind of guy you did call your BFF. But he does have the ability to get
peeps to listen and trust him. You will required to generate relationships as an entrepreneur, no business is an island.

While you may be a natural born follower, as a business holder, you will have to be able to instruct. That means trusting an inner compass to guide you when there are no outer indications as to what process to take next. It means having peeps rely on you. And it even means forgoing the road less travel for bushwhacking your own way.

To be an entrepreneur you required to be inspired. You will likely have to inspire others such as workers and your first client—who will have to believe in you with no track record. But most of all you will restart to have to inspire yourself, because sometimes your vision is the only thing that can lead you out of one zone of your business or into the next.

Most of all, to get out of the rat race, you required persistence. You Required to fall on your face and get back up. You required to make big mistakes or learn from them. Sometimes you even required to fail it may be the only path to succeed. To quote some of my wonderful peeps, Your recovery strategy is what is important- avoiding mistakes is not.

Thanks
